SWEA Austin was established in 2005 and is part of SWEA International, the Swedish Women's Educational Association, Inc., as a global network for Swedish-speaking women who live, or have lived, outside of Sweden. Austin is located Deep in the Heart of Texas and has deep connections to Sweden. The Swedish portions of SWEA Austin's site includes information about the chapter's activities as well as historical information about Swedes in the Austin area.
