Swedish Women Educational Association (SWEA) is a non-profit global organization of women who speak Swedish. We are dedicated to promoting Swedish culture and traditions in countries outside Sweden. Founded in 1979, the organization now has over 78 chapters in 34 countries on five continents. SWEA Vancouver was founded 1989. This is the membership site for SWEA Vancouver. Our mandate is to publish information that is useful to our members. We publish content about our program, Swedish recipes, SWEA scholarship information and recent events and news from our Vancouver chapter and from Sweden, as well as how to become a member. Our board of directors are elected annually.
